Racialized Women's suppressed rage and anger explained

Racialized women have long been the free labour, the exploited labour and continue to be the underpaid undervalued labour and get treated poorly in the process. When white women throw racialized women in front to deal with issues, and hide in the back when crisis or cleaning needs to be done and then scrutinize them for it as if this means they did something, it is an extension of colonial violence in wage theft, time theft were the result of indian "ayahs" serving the mistresses and wives of British soldiers while stationed in India. While many of these men raped the Indian women, the Indian women also continued to take care of the British children, all the while being treated poorly, called names. This is historical trauma, and growing up in intergenerational households it is witnessed. So next time you criticize a racialized women for her cleaning or domestic skills, or give her a false performance review to prevent her from accessing better wages while she supports your friends work, remember no amount of power will suppress accumulated rage because like J.Lo said, ladies you have got to get mad. Enough is enough, racialized women work to support the leisure and vacations of white women who have community connections and social safety networks that they don't. We are walking in different spaces, we are over worked, underpaid, and we are suffering because we don't have time or energy for our own joy leisure or comfort or family while supporting yours.

Time theft

Time poverty

Wage theft

Mistreatment

Racism

Micromanagement

Socially ascribed perfectionism

Outdated Eurocentric models of care that don't work anymore nor are realistic

These all lead to anxiety, depression, race based trauma, and PTSD

So here's what I would love to state now, fuck your propriety, fuck your politeness, and fuck your institutional standards of cleanliness. You want it done, do it with me, or do it alone. Because I am done having you pick me apart for stuff that piles up because of your neglect. Don't push your systemic failures on me. Keeping racism going benefits nobody, not you, not me.

Because don't be surprised, that the next time you step to me nit picking me for a paper dot on the floor of a nasty ass shelter that has been neglected, and has basically utilized exploited labour to maintain itself while the warden keeps guard, do not blame me if you get the pent up rage of a thousand paper cuts that went ignored before because you thought that I was stupid because I stayed quite and calm. Not anymore, your mistreatment, your bullying, your monopolizing your false expertise of my space and lived experiences, your tokenization, the performative non allyship, your social exclusion and constant pushing of unrealistic standards on me has led to some serious consequences for me. So now the rage is going exactly where it needs to, on the individuals who are toxic and exploitarive who decided to give racialized women shit for their cooking and cleaning. Toxicity shouldn't follow you home, and respect the person who is supporting you, and check your judgement, because many of these white institutions and harmful white ideologies that are upheld are doing more harm then helping, So mimic what is said, instead of forming your own thoughts. All the papers in the world can say one thing, and all that can be undone with a different collective understanding. If throwing people under the bus is how you get your job done, it is okay, because remember that everybody is somebody, and has a lifetime to live. Enough with the surveillance and enforcement of white institutionalized colonial gendered violence onto racialized bodies, this includes men and women. Lord have mercy, I am tired of the criticism, and I can imagine being an immigrant in this country, working hard and long hours with poor hours to provide for the family and being told you're not doing enough, that your tone, your irrtiability from a lack of social support and connection makes you insufferable, with a mental health issue. Yes lets work people into the ground, until isolation becomes their norm because they are working poor, and when they fail, magnify the failure, criticize instead of support. Kick a dog while they are down why don't you.
